What about getting funding for the whole Goose Network Camp Staff Seminar 2014? Funding that would cover the whole fee plus part of flight ticket expenses?
You might have heard of Youth In Action (YIA) that Griebal pioneered for the environmental seminar and Neihaischen now is pioneering for the European Centre Managers Conference 2013 (CMC).
We (Vässarö) aim at getting YIA funding for the upcoming Camp Staff Seminar 2014 and we will very soon need your cooperation in sending in partnership agreements. Our deadline is 1:st of October…
About YIA and partnership agreements
YIA is a EU funding programme. In order to use it we have to do some paperwork and get used to do the work much earlier than we normally would.
Each centre sending staff must prior to the meeting send in partnership agreements. Partnership agreements are forms stating that you agree to be part of this. These forms will be sent out shortly. Another way of seeing it is that we didn’t invent you just to get money. An important part in filling in the partnership agreement is stating how many staff members you plan to send. Typically 2 to 4. Do not write 4 staff if you know you will only send 2 because there is a maximum amount of staff members to apply for funding in total. It’s about 50.
Without partnership agreements, we can’t get funding and hence I suspect full fee would apply. The funding will end up at Vässarö, so there simply will be no fee if this goes as planned. On top of that, ticket expenses can be partly covered in retrospect meaning you get back some money at a later point in time.
I don’t think it’s optimal that we have to do all this paper work prior to CMC and the Goose Network Meeting for a range of reasons, but on the other hand it provides a very good starting points for discussions I think.
